I'm the kind of feller who
scares himself (not to mention
family and friends) by many times making a living doing the unexpected.
Something different, tangential,
even opposite to my
education and training. Ya know? I want to learn a few more things
while the fingers,
toes,
eyes
and noodle
are all still attached
and functioning. Nope, not interested in door to door, telemarketing or sell-herbal-remedies-from-home scams.
Thanks for asking.
Don't even offer. I've been in sales & marketing.
I've been a draftsman & an engineering designer.
I
have been a classroom teacher
and a business and technical trainer.
I
am a technical writer & content developer
and an instructional designer.
I
have written for the web, for technical publications, for marketing campaigns, and for the classroom.
I am a web designer,
GUI designer, and a quasi multi-media programmer.
Oh
yes, I sing rock 'n' roll in a band & play a decent
rhythm guitar too. |
I prefer to work with smart, creative, passionate people who are proud
of their work, who value mine, and who are honest.
Oh, they should have fun doing it all.
And remember kids, the big 'B' stands for
um,
I forget.
(You gotta have
a sense of "silly") |
I've worked for Big Corporations. Small Businesses. Other consultants. And myself!
I've been employed full time, on long term contract, and hourly.
My work mostly worked for them. Most of my clients
have been happy. And I've enjoyed most of it.
I'm not anal conservative. But then again,
I'm not crazy either.
I do less
creative
inventive
work than I'd like to, and more routine work
than I like.
I'll dabble with recycling
resources when there's no budget, or to meet a deadline.
I design/write/create/build Just about everything: Electronic
& paper documentation...
web sites
manuals
...specifications
marketing copy
I'd like to do a lot more giggling
than weeping.
I like eating dark chocolate. I probably eat more
than I should. |
